Biography:

Seçil Erden Tayhan completed her doctoral studies in Biotechnology at Ege University in 2013. Her doctoral thesis was centered around the application of cell culture and tissue scaffold techniques for the construction of mesenchymal stem cell-derived artificial human bladders, demonstrating her expertise in regenerative medicine and tissue engineering.

Prior to her doctoral studies, Seçil Erden Tayhan earned a Master's degree in Molecular Biology from Ege University in 2008. Her Master's thesis involved the determination of various sugars in muscle tissue of Galleria mellonella (Lepidoptera) in relation to different regions (head, thorax, and abdomen) and developmental stages (larvae, pupa, and adult). This research showcased her proficiency in molecular biology techniques.

Seçil Erden Tayhan holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology Education, which she received from Dokuz Eylül University in 2006, underscoring her educational foundation in the field of biology.

As an Assistant Professor at Tokat Gaziosmanpasa University, she has actively contributed to academic research and has managed various Master's theses. Her involvement in these theses has covered a diverse range of topics, including the investigation of the antiproliferative and antimetastatic effects of ionic liquids on cancer cells, the study of the anti-proliferative properties of boron trioxide (B2O3)-based ionic liquids on cancer cells and their effects on bone repair, isolation and characterization of exosomes from rat bone marrow stem cells, the effects of polyphenolic compounds on gene expression related to cancer formation and progression, and the production, purification, and characterization of medical biotechnological products like epo, tpo, G-CSF, and GM-CSF.

Seçil Erden Tayhan's academic and research contributions reflect her dedication to advancing the fields of biotechnology, molecular biology, and regenerative medicine. Her work has the potential to make significant contributions to the understanding and treatment of various diseases and conditions.
